Know Local Authorities TAN or PAN Number

The following tutorials is helpful to Know "Statutory/Autonomous Bodies/Local Authorities" PAN or TAN Number.

Every deductor is required to obtain a unique identification number called TAN (Tax Deduction Account Number) which is a ten digit alpha numeric number. This number has to be quoted by the deductor in every correspondence related to TDS. TAN contain 10 Alphanumeric characters.(4 Alphabets+ 5 Numbers +1 Alphabet).
  
You can check TAN and PAN Number based on Company Name.
It is useful for auditors when filing TDS returns, auditing, cross verification etc., Just follow the following simple step. 

Open the following link
https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-Filing/Services/KnowYourTanLink.html

Fill the following fields.

1) Select category of Deductor (Eg: Statutory/Autonomous Bodies/Local Authorities)
2) Select  registed state.
3) Enter name (Enter full name or part name)
4) Enter image verfication code
5) Click on Submit button.

Now you can see TAN, PAN and other useful details.
