Act – Sakala Janula Samme for Separate Telangana State – Inability to file
appeals before the Appellate Authorities by dealers in Telangana Region–
Certain orders issued – Reg.

It is noticed that due
to the strike of the employees in the region of the State, comprising the Twin
Cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and Rangareddy, Nalgonda, Mahaboobnagar,
Warangal, Khammam, Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Adilabad Districts, some of the
dealers in the said region could not file their appeals within time before the
Appellate Authorities for the reasons beyond their control.
In order to redress the
hardship, caused to the dealers in this regard, all the Appellate Authorities,
having jurisdiction over the above region, are hereby directed to admit the
appeals, filed by the dealers, falling within the geographical jurisdiction of
the above said area subject to the condition that the appeals shall be filed
within the time, as prescribed in Section 31 of the APVAT Act, after deducting
the period from 13-09-2011 to 24-10-2011 (both days inclusive) and a further
period of seven days to enable them to file appeals.
The
receipt of the circular shall be acknowledged immediately.
