PAN cards issued before 2010 will not have the date of issue printed on it. This is how I found out my issue date. 1. You have to call up PAN/TDS Call Centre at 02027218080. 2. Give them your PAN number and name, and ask for your issue date. They will give you the call center number of your PAN issuing authority. (Mine was UTI Munbai, Phone- 02267931010) 3. Call and ask for your issue date. They will tell you instantly. (You might have to wait for about a minute.)
So what happens if you lose your Aadhaar? Not to worry! The Unique Identification Authority of India has made provisions for those who have misplaced their Aadhaar enrolment slip, lost their Aadhaar or wish to download their e-Aadhaar. How to Link Aadhaar card to PAN For making corrections in date of birth and address the individual have to compulsorily upload the related proofs and have to enclose.
