Andhra Chamber of Commerce - Membership


Membership :
Membership is open to any Individual, Firm, Company, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Industrial or Trade Association engaged in trade and or industry in India and particularly to those having business interests in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Annual Subscription & Admission Fee :
The Annual Subscription and Admission Fee for different categories of Members are as under:


Admission Fee :

* Limited Companies (Pub. & Pvt) Rs. 750/-

* Affiliated Bodies, Ordinary Members
i.e. Firms, Proprietory Concerns and
Individuals – Resident & Non-Resident Rs. 250/-

Annual Subscription :
* Public Limited Companies
(Resident & Non-Resident) Rs.2, 000/-

* Private Limited Companies
(Resident & Non-Resident) Rs.1, 500/-

* Affiliated Bodies–Chambers of Commerce
Industrial & Trade Associations
(Resident & Non-Resident) Rs. 600/-

* Ordinary Members – Resident
i.e. Firms, Proprietory Concerns
and Individuals in Chennai City Rs. 750/-

* Ordinary Members – Non-Resident
i.e. Firms, Proprietory Concerns
and Individuals Outside Chennai City. Rs. 600/-

Membership fee for other categories of Members are as under:
Life Membership :
Fee payable once at the time of Admission.No Admission Fee.
Public Limited Companies Rs.20,000/-
Private Limited Companies Rs.15,000/-
Individuals Rs. 7,500/-

Corporate Members :
Public and Private Limited Companies are eligible to join as Corporate Members. They will be Entitled to automatic inclusion of their representative as Member of the Executive Committee.
Annual Subscription Rs.12,000/- No Admission Fee.

Life Corporate Members :
Public and Private Limited Companies who are Life Members of the Chamber can enroll themselves as Life Corporate Members by paying the prescribed Annual Subscription. They will be entitled to automatic inclusion of their representative as Member of the Executive Committee.
Annual Subscription Rs.10,000/-No Admission Fee.

Organisation Members :
Member Chambers of Commerce, Industrial and Trade Associations can enroll themselves as Organisation Members by paying the prescribed Annual Subscription therefor. They will be entitled to automatic inclusion of their representative as Member of the Executive Committee.
Annual Subscription Rs.5,000/- No Admission Fee.

Facility for Nomination of Additional Representatives by Public and Private Limited Companies:
Public Limited Companies paying an annual subscription of Rs.1,650/- and Private Limited Companies paying an annual subscription of Rs.1,320/- are entitled to depute one representative to represent them in the Chamber. Such representative will exercise the privileges of Membership like attending Annual General Meeting, voting and standing for election.
The above Companies can nominate upto three Additional Representatives each by paying the prescribed Additional Annual Subscription. The Additional Representative would receive copies of Chamber’s publications, circulars and invitations. They can also serve on Expert-Committees and Industry/Trade Panels of the Chamber, besides attending the meetings of the Chamber.
The Additional Annual Subscription payable is:
For Public Limited Companies – for each Additional Representative : Rs.750/-
For Private Limited Companies – for each Additional Representative : Rs.600/-
The Chamber has today over 1400 Members. Around 60 Chambers of Commerce, Industrial and Trade Associations are affiliated to it. Members of the Chamber are drawn from different parts of India and principally from the States of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The Members are drawn from different industries and trades. The Chamber is fully representative in character and maintains its composite Membership and National outlook

NRI Patron Life Membership :
Provision had been made in the Articles of Association of the Chamber on June 29, 2001 for admitting Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) as Life Patron Members.
The one time NRI Patron Life Membership Fee payable is US$1000 (One Thousand US Dollars) along with the acceptance letter. No Admission fee is charged.

Shri K. Rosaiah, Chief Minister, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Hon’ble Dr.J. Jayalalithaa, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr.M. Karunanidhi, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, H.E. Sardar Surjit Singh Barnala Governor of Tamil Nadu and Shri P.S. Ramamohan Rao, former Governor of Tamil Nadu are Hon. Members of the Chamber.
Among those who were Hon. Members of the Chamber in the past mention may be made of Sir M. Visweswaraya, Dr. Sir, C. Ramalinga Reddi, Sir Vijaya of Vijayanagaram, , Dr. Sir S. Radhakrishnan, Dr. B.V. Narayanaswami Naidu, Dr. N. Sanjeeva Reddy, Shri P.V. Narasimha Rao, Shri Kala Venkata Rao, Shri V.B. Raju, Shri R. Venkataraman, Shri K. Brahmananda Reddi, Shri M. Bakthavatsalam, Shri C.N.
